Issue note

Nissan Silvia S14

Nissan widened the sixth-generation Silvia to 1,730 mm, which pushed it into Japan's larger tax classification and hurt it at home. Everywhere else, the S14 is remembered as the best-resolved chassis of the family: strut front, multilink rear, 1,220 kilograms.

The SR20DET carried 220 PS at 6,000 rpm and 274 Nm at 4,800 — fifteen more than the S13's version. The 1996 kouki facelift brought the slant-eye headlights that fixed the car in drift-era iconography.
