Skyline and Silvia lineage — the blue cars
A blue field crossed by a white wave. Two colours, one gesture, and no ornament whatsoever.

Reading the geometry
This is the most reductive scheme in the archive: one saturated blue, one white wave crossing the flank, and a darker blue band closing the sill. It survives because the wave is drawn properly — it rises over the front arch, dips through the door and lifts again at the rear, so the car appears to have a waterline.
A second, much finer white line runs above the main wave in phase with it. That is the detail that makes it look engineered rather than sprayed: the two curves never cross and never converge, they simply travel together.
The lineage runs from the Group A Skylines of the early nineties through the JGTC years, and the same two colours carried across the Silvia programmes of the same period.
