Issue note

Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI

Class 1 regulations let manufacturers build a saloon in name only. Alfa Corse's 155 V6 TI ran a high-revving 2.5-litre V6, four-wheel drive and carbon brakes under bodywork that looked like a family Alfa.

It won the DTM title in its debut season of 1993 with Nicola Larini, then spent the ITC years in a technological arms race that eventually priced the series out of existence.
